Psalm Roar Special
Hosted by Selden College and lead by David Erb
Saturday 2nd August 2025
11am to 4pm at All Saints Church, Headington, Oxford.
Join your voice to that of Jesus Christ as we sing the psalms. Experience the unity of the Spirit and the encouragement of God’s Word as we sing the psalms together.
This is a different sort of Psalm Roar! The day is being organised by Selden College - a new institution with a vision for Christian Higher Education in the UK. Find out more at www.seldencollege.co.uk
The day will be led by David Erb, composer of many settings of the psalms. Almost every Psalm Roar features Psalm 134 sung as a 3-part round. A few events have featured Psalm 70 which features a stirring section of four-part harmony. Both of these were composed by David Erb who is Director of the New Saint Andrews Music Conservatory in Moscow, Idaho.

Selden College: Christian Higher Education to the Glory of God.
“Our vision is twofold: to recover the heritage of Christian higher education, committed to three things in combination: the worship of God, the development of Christian virtue, and the advancement of learning. Then, to glorify God in the arena of higher education and thus serve the purposes of God for family, church, and nation by preparing generations of faithful Christian leaders in each of those spheres, not simply a qualification for individual advancement.”

“Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you” says Colossians 3. Come along to discover how the psalms help us connect with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
-
Christians have always turned to the psalms to learn how to pray. As we sing the psalms we pray together as the church, in union with the church across the centuries.
-
Our voices are given that we may glorify God and declare his praises. Come and learn how we might improve our sung worship.
